There are many frequently asked questions about our application, and this page exists in an attempt to answer all of these questions.

Q: Why doesn't the application support Internet Explorer?
A: As much as we'd love to support Internet Explorer, currently, there are errors and problems created when using the browser that we cannot correct without further investigation. We hope to support Internet Explorer sometime in the future.

Q: I receive an error when trying to upload a background image/avatar. Why is this?
A: The main cause of an error is the incorrect file formats. These formats are limited to PNG and JPG for background images, and PNG, GIF, and JPG for avatars. Also, there are size limits for the images. These limits are 60x60 or less for avatars, and between 50x20 and 550x200 for background images.

Q: I cannot add a background image/avatar from a URL. Why is this?
A: The URL may not be accessible, or may have the problems mentioned above. If this is not the case, try saving the image to your computer, and uploading it.

Q: I enter my MSN address into the box, but it does not show the data on my signature. Why is this?
A: When entering your MSN email, you also need to ensure that the settings in your MSN client are correct. Your account must be set to allow people not on your contact list to view your online status.

Q: When I go to display my signature, all it says is "Error: No username entered"
A: If your nickname on the site contains any unusual characters such as &, %, :, or any accented characters, this is likely the cause of your problem. Within the e107 profile settings, change your nickname to something that contains only alphanumeric characters.

Q: My signature is not showing the correct online status, why is this?
A: The data used in the signatures is cached for roughly 20 minutes, due to current restraints out of our control. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Q: CXS doesn't do x or y. Can you add them?
A: Head over to the forum, where you can put in a feature request.
